General Mills’ historically artificially flavored and colored cereal, Trix, is going all natural. Along with the new ingredients will come a new face of the brand. Trix will be trading in its well-known cartoon rabbit for a real rabbit.
This rebranding effort was announced in October. An open casting call for the new Trix rabbit was held online. Kids, parents, and family members were invited to upload photos and videos of their pet rabbits and their other pets dressed-up as rabbits. Check out some of the submissions at #RealTrixRabbit.
After reviewing 7,500 entries, General Mills narrowed it down to only a few rabbits. Houston’s own Cinnabun was one of them! After further deliberation, Cinnabun was officially named the new face of Trix!
Houston’s newest celebrity is an adorable, two-year-old, Holland lop bunny. This bunny is no stranger to the spotlight. Cinnabun is already quite popular on Instagram, with 6,271 followers and counting. Become one of them @Cinnabunbun.
The new Trix cereal boxes, sporting Cinnabun’s face, premiered yesterday at a Houston Kroger. A press event was held, where both Cinnabun and his owner, Natalie Tran, were given the VIP treatment. After his trip down the red carpet, Cinnabun signed autographs, using his paw and ink, for his adorning hometown fans.Houston
